| AGREEMENT |
(1) When
entering the annual United States Open Music Competition, the participants and their families agree to give the right to USOMC for photographs, video
recordings (DVDs) and interviews of the competitions by USOMC for any
purpose without compensation. |
| VIDEO, RECORDING OR PHOTOGRAPHY |
Warning: The use of cameras, recording devices and other electronic equipments is strictly prohibited during the actual competitions. |
| DETERMINATION OF AGE | The
cut-off date for age level is December 31, 2010. USOMC reserves the
right to verify the date of birth of all contestant(s). If a contestant is unable to provide prove of age or proven wrong in age, that conteatant will be disqualified from the USOMC. |

ENTRY FORMS |
The
Personal Data Registration Form must be typed or printed. Applicants
of Showcase Piano/Violin: Solo, Duet/Ensemble, Duo/Ensemble, Concerto & Ensemble events-- For online entrants, please read instructions on the bottom of page 14 in the Syllabus. |

COMPETITION SCHEDULE |

of competition schedules, with names of all contestants on each event, including details and maps will be posted on our website by January 31st, 2011. Please

| JUDGES DECISIONS | The judges may not hear the pieces in their entirety. This does not reflect negatively on their performance. All winners will be announced at the end of each event and the Judges’ comments will be available to all contestants at the conclusion of each event. The Judges’ decisions are final. Talking with or contacting Judges before, during or after the competitions is unethical and inappropriate. The USOMC board reserves the right to disqualify any contestant(s) displaying such conduct. |

during the Prize Winners’ Award Concerts on February 19-20, 2011. 1st Place: Gold Medal & Cash Prize 2nd Place: Silver Medal 3rd Place: Bronze Medal 4th Place: Crystal Medallion Five "Outstanding Performers" will be chosen at the conclusion of each of the four Prize Winners' Concerts on Saturday and Sunday to receive a bonus cash award. |
| WINNERS |
All first Prize winners should be
prepared to play their pieces (shortened if necessary) at a maximum of 5 minutes for the
Elementary and Junior levels, 8 minutes for the Intermediate and Senior levels, and 10 minutes
for the Advanced level. All Concerto winners are allowed: 8 minutes for the Junior level, 10 minutes for the Intermediate level, 12 minutes for the Senior & Advanced levels, and 18 minutes for the Complete Concerto. Notice: All First Place Winners must perform at their designated Prize Winners’ Concerts on Saturday/Sunday in order to receive their cash prizes and gold medals. All prize winners (including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th place) must attend the concerts in formal attire (casual clothing, jeans, T-shirt, or flipflops are not allowed to go on stage) to receive their medals. No one is allowed to receive a medal for an absentee. If a Winner cannot attend the concert(s), he/she may request in advance for the medal(s) to be sent via postal mail ($25 handling & service fee will apply). |
| ORIGINAL MUSIC REQUIREMENT | An original copy
(no illegal photocopies) of all music must be provided for the judges for all Showcase, Concerto events (including Instrumental Ensemble/Solo event). |
